Physical activity

Being overweight or obese can increase the risk of cancer. (Canadian Cancer Society- Healthy Body Weight)


Obesity is associated with increased risk of colon, uterine, kidney, oesophageal and breast cancer (in women who have gone through menopause). (Canadian Cancer Society- Healthy Body Weight) (National Cancer Institute)


Regular exercise is important for one’s health. Being active reduces the risk of colon and breast cancer and possibly cancer of the uterus and prostate. (Cancer Care Ontario - Body Weight & Exercise)
